The Green Party of Alabama is the state affiliate of the Green Party of the United States. We are not funded by corporations. We do not accept lobbyist money. We are organized county by county, by volunteers who believe Alabama deserves a real political alternative.
Our work is straightforward: build local chapters, run candidates, and put ecological and social-justice issues on the ballot where the two major parties refuse to. Whether you live in Mobile, Montgomery, Huntsville, or a rural community most political maps ignore, there's a place for you here.
Our history
The Alabama Greens have organized in this state for more than a decade, building from a handful of activists into a recognized party with chapters across the state. We have run candidates at the local, state, and federal level, and we have worked alongside community groups on issues from coal-ash contamination to voting rights.
